Carnegies Deli New York

I finally made it to carnegies deli and I wasn't dissapointed. I always saw the pictures on TV and really wanted to try it. I couldn't believe anyone could pile that much meat on a sandwich?
It was raining hard outside bur I hady umbrella and determined to find this place and give it a try. I read that they are a cash only business, so I checked my wallet and was god to go. I was staying in midtown and only had to go around the corner. I spotted it across the road and thought it would be bigger? I walked in and was taken to some tables that already had six people sitting there. Everything was faced pace and I knew u was un for a ride. I was sitting next to two girls and they just for there sandwich, turckey and cornedbeef qith Swiss cheese and a side of thousand island. They were aharing and didn't know how to approach it? It really looked good and wanted to try it.
I ordered a heiniken and they brought it with a dish od pickles. Two regular dill and two that were quick brined? They were like cucumbers and pickels? Really good.
I watched as they brought out amaIng looking cheese cakes, some with strawberries, others with chocolate. I'm thinking if my sandwich doesn't stack up, I'm having some of that.
Then they being out my sandwich, the Woody Allen, corned beef and pastrami on rye. I knew I wasn't going to be having dessert. They had squeeze bottles of mustard, a knife and fork and I was getting after it. I couldn't believe how tender the cornedbeef was. No fat and melt in my mouth, it tasted better than I ever expected. I realized I have never tasted real corned beef.
I started into the pastrami and once again realized that I have been missing out on the real deal.
I'm watching everyone around me and see that knowone is finishing is finishing a half sandwich. I continue on my quest to finish the sandwich, people around me bagging up things and taking them. I see huge portions of coleslaw, turkey burgers, open face ham and gravy.
I know it's all coming to and end. Four pickles, a beer, six slices of rye and at least a pound of meet.
It was awesome and and can't fit another bit.
I live to eat onther day. I'm looking forward to the rueben on my next visit.
