December round completes the 2009 year

It's complete, atleast one round played each month of the year. It was a great day at Wingpoint and now can only hope for another day. It's a great day when I can play in December in Utah.
I'm looking forward to playing in St. George AM in January.
I'm also committed to blogging my trips next year.

First day out on my new pontoon boat at Jordanelle

The sleepness nights are over, as I finally got to go fishing on my new pontoon boat that Jill got me for my birthday! Thank's for the early present sweetheart, I love it!
I haven't been able to sleep at night with all the crazy thoughts of all the fish I was going to catch and what I was going to catch them on? Where am I going to put my poles, am I going to sink in the water, am I to big for this boat, am I going to fall off the seat, is it going to tip over?
Well, I made it the lake last night, put everything together and in the water I went. The wind was blowing a little bit, as I used the oars and my kick fins to get across the bay. It took a while to get the hang of things and I had to adjust the oars a couple of times before I was rowing like a pro. The only problem was, I lost one of my new gloves that feel out of my pocket and two of my good fly's blew out and were floating in the water and I wasn't able to get them back.
I finally got my poles in the water and within 30 minutes had my first fish.
I was really excited, it was like I didn't believe there were fish in the lake and then to catch one, was awesome. I was thinking to myself, I remember this feeling of catching fish and it was so fun the feel the fish giving a good fight.
It was alot of fun getting this fish in the net, it didn't like getting to close to the boat.

The next fish came 20 Minutes later and I had thoughts of a great night of fishing.

After landing the second, the fishing slowed down and I was able to get my way back to the shore. I threw out my pole and caught a third fish as I was putting my things away.

Real fun day and look forward to many more.

Next week it's out to Flaming Gorge for the Villa Fishing Derby. Can't wait to post the photos of some big winning fish.

Dad and Jill chop the winnings as the Big Winners at Dave and Jamie’s Poker night.

jazz game 053
There was no bluffing either one of these guys, they were both running good. Not even Patrick “the thinker” could take them down. (Although he tried) :-)

What a great night of Poker and Jamie’s excellent Cafe Rio food and birthday cake “German Chocolate” for Dave.

It was fun to meet some new people that work with Dave and play with some old friends as well.

Jazz lose by 1 to Minnesota Friday April 3, 2009

I was lucky enough to get a ticket to the game through work. I was suppose to be taking a client to the game with the boss, but it didn't work out so the boss gave the tickets to some others in the office and I got to keep a ticket. Really nice seats in the lower bowl, Row 18.
Joel (friend at work) had his daughter's performing before the game and halftime. Not sure which ones are them?
The fun part was sitting behind the Jazz bench during pre game and some of the 1st quarter.
A couple hightlights of the night were meeting Frank Layden before the game and shaking his hand. I ran into him again at half time in the restroom, but I didn't shake his hand again.
I did enjoy a beer and some popcorn and a good game when the Jazz were scoring, otherwise it was a bad loss, as D-Will missed the last second shot to win.

Craft Night Breakfast Recipes

After Jill had her sisters and girls over for a night of scrap booking, Movies and girl talk, we had to have a fitting breakfast. Hear are a couple of recipes that are great to have for breakfast.

Craft Night Pancakes
This is my variation of sleep over pancakes.
Whisk together in a large bowl.
3 Cups all-purpose flour
6 Tablespoons sugar
3 Tablespoons baking powder
2 teaspoons salt

Combine in another bowl.
2 Cups milk
1 Cup buttermilk
6 Tablespoons butter, melted (one stick)
4 Eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla

Mix the liquid ingredients together and quickly mix into the dry ingredients. Don’t over mix. Use a ¼ Cup batter for each pancake. This is a large batch for about 24 pancakes. This is a good one to half for a smaller group.

My Favorite was Strawberry sauce and whipped cream!

Craft Night Breakfast Casserole
Put this together the night before breakfast.
2 lb Jimmy Dean Sausage
¾ shredded cheddar mix cheese
9 slices of white bread (cut off crust and cube bread)
4 eggs
2 ½ Cups milk
1 Can cream of mushroom soup

Put the cubed bread in a 9 x 12 casserole dish and mix with ½ the cheese. Mix together 2 cups of the milk and eggs in a separate bowl. Brown the Sausage and drain. Mix sausage with bread in casserole dish. Pour the milk/egg mixture over sausage/bread/cheese. Cover all with remaining cheese. Mix ½ cup milk with Cream of mushroom soup and spread over top of dish. Cover with plastic wrap and set in fridge over night.
In the morning preheat oven to 325 and cook for 1 ½ hours.
